Make a career in Animation and Multi-media
Make a career in
Animation and Multi-media In the recent years, animation and
multimedia have gained prominence amongst students who are looking
forward to making a career in the 3D
animation field. The animation and multimedia field is one which
requires creativity, integrity and a lot of hard work in order to
establish and progress.
Out-of-the-box thinking
and graphic designing skills are a must to jump-start the career in
the field of 3D animation.
While there is a lot of
chatter about animation and multimedia, people still have a sketchy
view of both these domains. So what's the difference between
animation and multi-media. The difference is when motion is induced
into graphics, it becomes animation, while sound infused into this
animation, it becomes multimedia.
Animation
is described as a process of creating animated characters or
cartoons. In today's time, when we have made a lot of strides in
technology, a career in animation is regarded as one of the most
high-paying jobs in the video gaming industry. Creative thinking and
niche skills have attracted people who have the ability to observe
the message or communication made. Animation is also a sequence of
2D or 3D artwork images included in multimedia.
Meanwhile, multimedia is
a way of merging various types of medias like sound, animation, video
and graphics. Besides a creative bent of mind in multimedia,
technical proficiency is also required. Some of the key skills
imparted to multimedia students is how to integrate text, graphics,
audio, video and animation in a program. Animation and multimedia
schools allows the students to be specialized in any field they
required.
People who are equipped
with animation and multi-media skills can make a headstart in the
film and television industry, there is huge opportunities for
animation in the video-gaming industry, film making, cartoon making,
graphic designing and much more. Mostly, there is a lot of
requirement for make for website designing, banner advertising and
viral marketing.
Of late, there has been a
proliferation of institutes offering courses in animation and
multi-media. But one must take into consideration various factors
before choosing the right institution. Students should have detailed
information about the institution, and the type of courses offered
and whether
Wiztoonz, a top animation

Popular Animation Techniques Used In Film Industry
During 20th century , animation film
industry was using traditional animation
to make the images to move. For the purpose of this industry was
hiring the people, who provided several hand draw images. These
images the arranged in a sequence and moved in a way that gave an
illusory impression.
This technique needs lot of time and
hard work, but this initial technique was very clever and
successful. It was used for a long time in animated films and
cartoons. The purpose
of these was to make the image generation process easier and quicker.
Today, there are several modern ways to generate images easily. Here
are some animation techniques that are most commonly used.
1. Cut Piece Designed Shapes: In place of hand drawn figures, designed shapes are used and their motions are recorded step by step. They can be replaced by some other designed cut shapes. These cut shapes can also be used over the hand drawn figures also. Although simple and bit easy to work with, but there is problem of coordination if two designs are being worked simultaneously and also the movements are bit odd looking.
3. Movement Capture AnimationTechnique: This is a computer aided technique. In this animation, the
actions of human actor are recorded and then digitally transferred to
computer to make amazing animated characters. The Avatar movie falls
in this category of films.
4. Animatronics Type: In this category, remote controlled or self controlled mechanical animated characters are filmed with real human characters thereby producing astonishing animation series. Movie Jurassic Park falls in this category of animation.
5. Rotoscopic Animation Technique: This category of animation involves the framing and sketching of real actions done by the human characters. These frames and sketches are traced to the computer digitally, thus resulting into a very new world of animation.
6. CGI or Computer Generated Images: Computers have made the task of making animation films comparatively very easy though they are bit costly too. Wire frame models of special imaginary characters are prepared on the computer using special animation software. These models are then completed with body, skins, colors and special textures etc. to give astounding views and shapes.
7. Backgrounds for the animated movies and the video games are created on computers itself. Special sound effects are also prepared using the help of modern computer software.
The animation techniques have made it
possible to simulate the futuristic scientific and biological models
which cannot be created in reality. This quality helps scientists to
make better understandings of the old past and future too.

Animation Means Many Things to Many People
Animation is defined as the rapid display of a
sequence of images in order to create an illusion of movement. There
are several techniques used in animation, namely traditional
animation, stop motion animation, and computer animation.
Many people when they
hear the term animation they automatically think of cartoons, yet if
they are on the computer at all then they have most likely been
exposed to animation. This does not mean they have been watching
cartoons when they were suppose to be working. Animation is not just
restricted to cartoons. Nor is there just one type of animation.
Nowadays, computer
animation seems to be the way to go whether it be for a motion
picture, video program or any other means of presenting animation.
Computer animation covers a plethora of techniques, with the unifying
factor being that it is digitally created on a computer. There are
two kinds of computer animation, namely 2D and 3D animation.
2D animation figures are
created and/or edited on the computer using 2D bitmap graphics or
created and edited using 2D vector graphics. This includes automated
computerized versions of traditional animation techniques such as of,
interpolated morphing, onion skinning and interpolated rotoscoping.
2D animation has many applications, including analog computer
animation, Flash animation and PowerPoint animation. Cinemagraphs are
still photographs in the form of an animated GIF file of which part
is animated.
3D animation is digitally modeled and manipulated by
an animator. The animator starts by creating an external 3D mesh to
manipulate. A mesh is a geometric configuration that gives the visual
appearance of form to a 3D object or 3D environment. The mesh may
have many vertices which are the geometric points which make up the
mesh; it is given an internal digital skeletal structure called an
armature that can be used to control the mesh with weights. This
process is called rigging and can be programmed with movement with
keyframes.
